Candidate Titles for Translation

On 21st November 2007 we announced our first list of 100 candidate titles selected for translation into Arabic:

Category

All
Classic: Works from the Ancient Eastern and Western World including works from the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and Chinese.
Contemporary: Works after the end of the Second World War. While these works have not yet stood the test of time, the vast majority of published works are in this category presenting the 'keep up' side of the equation and therefore the greatest percentage of candidate titles.
Modern: Works that follow the aftermath of the fall of Rome in the 5th century A.D. until the end of the Second World War. This will include works from the medieval world, the Renaissance, the Enlightenment and Scientific Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the World Wars.
